Vessalia Health · Effective July 15, 2026

The short version: Vessalia Health collects no data. Everything you enter — medications, vitals, appointments, bills, documents, and health notes — stays on your device. Vessy, the built-in assistant, runs on Apple Intelligence right on your iPhone; nothing you tell it is sent anywhere. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. The only ways your data can leave your device are ones you turn on yourself: an optional backup to your own private iCloud, optional Apple Health sync, or exporting a file — all handled by Apple or by you, never routed through us. We cannot see your data, and neither can anyone else.

Who we are

Vessalia Health is developed by Every Storm Industries LLC ("we," "us"). This policy describes how the Vessalia Health iOS app handles your information.

What we collect

Nothing. Vessalia Health does not collect, transmit, store remotely (other than the optional backup to your own private iCloud described below), share, or sell any personal information or usage data — including your medication names, doses, schedules, dose history, health measurements, side effects, conditions, appointments, healthcare team, bills and reimbursements, insurance details, documents, notes, or any identifiers. The app contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party code that communicates over the internet.

Where your data lives

All information you enter — medications, schedules, dose logs, supply counts, health check-ins (such as weight, blood pressure, glucose, mood, sleep, and measures for women's, men's, and transgender health, plus any custom measures you create), side effects, health conditions, appointments and their status, your healthcare team, medical bills and reimbursements, insurance and spending-account details, documents and photos you add (such as insurance cards, receipts, and lab results), caregiver profiles, notes, and settings — is stored in a local database on your device only. A small summary used by the home screen widgets (such as your next dose, today's progress, adherence streak, and next appointment) is also stored in the app's private, sandboxed app group container on your device so the widgets can display it. None of this ever leaves your device.

Vessy, the on-device assistant

Vessy is an optional assistant built into Vessalia Health. It uses Apple Intelligence — Apple's on-device foundation model — which runs entirely on your iPhone. When you type something for Vessy to log, ask what a medication does, or view a Vessy-written trend summary, your words and your health data are processed locally on the device. There is no Vessy account, no Vessy server, and no internet connection involved; nothing you tell Vessy is transmitted to us or to any third party. Vessy always shows you what it plans to record and writes only after you confirm. The feature requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence and can be turned off in Settings; when it is off or unavailable, the app works exactly as it does without it.

iCloud Backup

Vessalia Health offers an optional backup to your own private iCloud. It is off by default. When you turn it on, the app writes a single backup file containing your Vessalia Health data to the app's private folder in your personal iCloud Drive, so you can restore it on a new device. This uses your Apple ID and iCloud — Apple stores and encrypts the file, and only you can access it. The backup never goes to us; we have no servers and cannot see it. If iCloud isn't set up on your device, the backup file is kept locally instead. You can turn backups off at any time in Settings → Data → iCloud Backup, and you can delete the file through Apple's iCloud storage management. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

Vessalia Health can optionally sync certain measures — such as weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, body temperature, and cycle data — with Apple Health. This feature is off until you turn it on and grant permission. When enabled, the app reads those values from and writes them to Apple Health using Apple's HealthKit framework. HealthKit data is stored on your device and is controlled entirely by you in the Apple Health app and your iOS privacy settings. If you use Apple's iCloud Health, Apple — not us — may sync it across your own devices under Apple's terms and end-to-end encryption. Vessalia Health never sends this data to us or any third party, and we never see it. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings, and revoke access in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.

Calendar

If you choose to import an appointment from your calendar, or add one of your appointments to your calendar, Vessalia Health uses Apple's EventKit framework and asks for permission first. It only reads or writes the events you specifically ask it to, the access happens on your device, and no calendar data is sent to us or any third party. You can revoke calendar access anytime in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security → Calendars.

Camera and photos

If you attach a photo — such as a medication bottle, insurance card, receipt, or document — you can take it with the camera or pick it from your library, with your permission. Images you add are stored in the app's local database on your device only and are never uploaded.

Notifications

Dose reminders, refill alerts, check-in reminders, appointment reminders, and bill due-date reminders are all local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. No notification content is sent to us or to any third party.

Face ID and Touch ID

If you enable the optional app lock, authentication is performed by iOS using its LocalAuthentication framework. The app only receives a yes/no result — it never sees, stores, or has access to your biometric data.

Data export

You can export your data as a CSV or JSON file at any time from Settings → Data. Exports are created on your device and shared only with the apps or people you choose through the iOS share sheet. Once you share an export, its handling is governed by the destination you chose.

Deleting your data

You are in full control. Use Settings → Data → Clear All Data to permanently erase all medications, health data, and history, or simply delete the app. If you turned on iCloud Backup, remove the backup file through Apple's iCloud storage management as well. Anything you previously wrote to Apple Health stays in Apple Health; remove it there if you wish.

Children's privacy

Vessalia Health does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app is intended for general audiences.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, we will update this policy and note it clearly in the app's release notes before the change takes effect. The current version of this policy will always be available at this page.
